The Logitech Pebble M350 is a great Apple Magic Mouse alternative in 2023. The Logitech M350 is a portable, affordable option with a sleek design and available in a variety of colours!Living in the Caribbean comes with the drawback of not being able to try before you buy when said purchase(s) stems from an online US based company such as Amazon, Walmart or Best Buy, to name a few.It's not easy for us islanders 🏝 to return an item if you don't like it or because it's simply not what you expected.Sometimes you want a specific item in a specific colour, but most places in the Caribbean focus on the colours of items that are most likely to sell fast. To select the Logitech Pebble M350, as a legitimate Apple Magic mouse alternative in 2023 I watched countless reviews from YouTube.
My first choice of mouse was the Apple magic mouse, since I gained experience using it during my radiology rotation at Kingston Public Hospital, Jamaica. I love it so much, mainly because it was so quiet, not to mention beautiful. I was convinced by a colleague not to get it because it may lead to the old Carpal tunnel that we all know but don't enjoy. I decided to go with a cheaper alternative to see if I would enjoy the ergonomics of this design, which is most similar to the Apple magic mouse.This led to me looking for alternatives, and the best I found for me was the Logitech Pebble Blueberry, aka blue! At the time of purchase, I paid $30 US if memory me correctly. Let's dive into the Pros and Cons of this Magic Mouse alternative.
What I love? 😃
+ Bluetooth - I used this option to connect to my laptop initially and for the most part works great, but too often the issue of detection of the mouse after your laptop wakes up takes too long and can be quite frustrating.
+ USB dongle - I love that this was included as an option to use. Bluetooth mice are good for the most part, but I really dislike the lag in connection associated with it. Not all Bluetooth mice are made the same, thus why I really love this one.
+ Battery operated - I bought this mouse in late 2021, and I have not yet had to change the battery. It also came with an AA alkaline battery included! Talk about value for money 💵.. The Logitech website boasts an 18-month battery life, that's 1 year 6 months! They are NOT lying...

+ Sleek design - the design is similar to that of the Apple magic mouse, without the associated cost, that is, $20 US (Pebble) vs $79 US (magic mouse). I love the pebble's shape, which makes it extremely easy to carry around if you are a mobile user.
+ Extremely quiet - I wish I could have easily recorded this mouse during use, so you can listen to it. But then again, you would be straining your ears to listen out for a sound that doesn't exist! No clicks, seriously none! There is a tactile depression when you click down on one of the left or right button, and that's it! No audible click!
+ Colour options - On the Logitech website, it's available in Lavender lemonade, Sand, Blueberry (my blue!), Graphite, Off white and Rose. Out of all the colour options, I recall seeing the Graphite being available in Fontana Pharmacy (Jamaica) which is where I was living at the time of this purchase.
+ Beautiful - albeit this product is made from plastic in it's entirety it looks so beautiful. You know sometimes you see a product in picture form, it appeals to your senses but when you get the physical product in your hand, you're like 'What treachery is this!' Well I can assure you this is not the case with this little beautiful device. This is why I can recommend it can be used as a genuine apple magic mouse alternative, despite it's plastic finish.
What can be improved?🥲
+ Colour - has visible brown marks indicating your device is dirty, but this takes a few weeks to appear. And the simple solution is to clean with an alcohol wet wipe. And that's all folks... Go forth and buy in confidence!
